This book was a great surprise! I must admit that I really did not like Jan at the beginning of this book. She was such a spoilt and selfish individual that she is certainly a personality that one would love to dislike. It was great seeing her grow up, primarily out of necessity, but when the gradual changes begin to happen, I could not help rooting for her. She had a great group of friends who really called it like they saw it and we all need that sometimes to bring about the positive change to help make us better people. I liked the character Juan, started off shaky in the beginning, but proved to be a really likeable character. Hoping they get together.
